Cliff Lee for Phillies

In a free agency shocker, the Philadelphia Phillies have landed coveted pitcher Cliff Lee, who they famously traded away after the 2009 season. the Phillies weren't even expected to be contenders in what was forecasted to be a Yankees/Rangers battle to sign the Cy Young award-winning pitcher.

Philadelphia Eagles Flying High

With 9 wins and 4 losses the Philadelphia Eagles are sitting pretty on top of the NFC East division. Last night they squeaked past the Dallas Cowboys by 3 points, with the final score being 30-27.

Poised for a playoff birth and a Super Bowl push, the Eagles have surprised many people. Doubters questioned where the team would be without quarterback Donovan McNabb, and the uncertainty of how Michael Vick would do taking over the position. He's led the team to impressive victories over the New York Giants, Atlanta Falcons, and Indianapolis Colts, silencing detractors and earning the praise of coaches, players, commentators, and fans. read more
